Singapore, known for its dynamic urban living environment that seamlessly fuses tradition with modernity, hosts a collection of waterfront residences epitomising luxury coastal living. The city’s waterfront residences offer residents a beautiful blend of breathtaking views, modern luxuries and a vibrant community to be a part of.

In this article, we delve into the myriad factors that contribute to the appeal of coastal living in Singapore. From the inherent beauty of a scenic waterfront location to the investment prospects of luxurious seaside residences, we explore the benefits of living by the coast. Additionally, we provide a glimpse into some of the city’s most prestigious luxury waterfront developments, highlighting the unparalleled amenities and lifestyle they offer residents.

The Appeal of Luxury Coastal Living

High-end residential properties along Singapore’s waterfront areas offer residents a luxurious coastal living experience that comes with premium amenities, exclusive designs and locations, an air of sophistication, and stunning views of either the sea or marina.

Location

Luxury coastal residences in Singapore are typically located on prime waterfront areas such as Sentosa Island, East Coast Park and Marina Bay. These locations offer residents Singapore’s best views of the seafront, the marina or the city skyline. Moreover, residents get the luxury of having a sense of tranquillity and serenity amidst the busy urban landscape.

Residents also have convenient access to a variety of amenities, many of which are upscale. These include shopping centres, dining establishments, entertainment venues and different recreational facilities.

In addition to these amenities, residents of waterfront residences have the advantage of being close to a range of different outdoor areas including beaches and promenades. For those living near East Coast Park, there is an outdoor sporting and recreational space to enjoy on weekends and holidays close to home.

Features

Luxury coastal residences in Singapore host a range of high-end features and amenities that add to their value and improve the overall quality of living. These may include access to private beaches, along with spa facilities, pools, fitness centres and even concierge services.

In addition to these features, luxury residences also typically have high-end finishes, designer interiors and the integration of smart home technologies throughout the properties. Residents have the opportunity to enjoy marinas, waterfront promenades, gardens and outdoor dining areas that are made to highlight the natural beauty of coastal surroundings in Singapore.

Investment Potential of Waterfront Residences

The relative scarcity of waterfront properties in Singapore, paired with the exclusivity and desirability of living close to water, make them a good investment for buyers and investors alike. Factors such as the prime location, lifestyle appeal and status that come with living in a waterfront residence contribute to the value of these properties.

For homeowners who want to live in waterfront residences, the overall enhanced quality of life that is a result of the location, amenities, and prestige makes these properties an ideal choice to invest in. Similarly, homeowners who want to invest in these properties for rental purposes have the opportunity to earn a higher rental income from both local and foreign tenants.

Investors can benefit from the long-term value appreciation and income potential that luxury waterfront properties offer in Singapore’s property market.

Luxury Waterfront Residences in Singapore

Many of Singapore’s waterfront properties are located in prestigious and sought-after areas such as Marina Bay, Sentosa Island and East Coast Park. We have highlighted three luxury condominiums that exemplify luxurious coastal living in Singapore: The Reef at King’s Dock, The Oceanfront @ Sentosa Cove, and Corals at Keppel Bay. Let’s take a look at these.

The Reef at King’s Dock

Located at Keppel Bay in Harbourfront Avenue, The Reef at King’s Dock is a luxury condominium development featuring 429 99-year leasehold units across 10 blocks of different heights. Residents have a wide array of options to choose from. Moreover, this development is the first one of its kind to host a floating deck.

The Reef at King’s Dock caters to various needs and preferences, offering 1-bedroom units (largest at 592 sqft) to 3-bedroom villas reaching a size of 1572 sqft. The development is set to TOP by 2025 and offers residents a wide range of facilities and the benefits of being located in a prime area.

The Reef at King’s Dock has a leisure pool, a rejuvenation pool and a 50m lap pool. Additionally, the development provides residents with a hammock for marine viewing, a fitness centre, a terrace, pavilions, a club, two types of lounges for residents, and a tennis court.

For families with children, the development is close to Radin Mas Primary School, Blangah Rise Primary School and CHIJ (Kellock). Moreover, Harbourfront and Telok Blangah MRT stations are a 10 and 15-minute walk from The Reef, providing convenient access to public transportation and nearby locations to residents. The Oceanfront @ Sentosa Cove

The Oceanfront @ Sentosa Cove is a 99-year leasehold waterfront condominium development comprising a total of 264 units across 9 blocks. The development is located in District 4, Southern Islands and is in proximity to a range of amenities, schools and public transport.

Residents can choose from 2-bedroom to 5-bedroom units, as well as units with waterfront views. We previously took a tour of a 4-bedroom unit with 2,013 sqft, a private lift and clear views of the sea, priced at $4,350,000.

In addition to the facilities offered at the condo development, residents have an array of amenities available to them in the area. For families with young children, there are three schools within 2 kilometres of the development, namely: Trident Marine Asia, KidsCamp Singapore, and Islander Pre-School.

Furthermore, residents can visit Cold Storage and a local deli at Quayside Isle, a 10-minute walk from The Oceanfront @ Sentosa Cove. Residents also have medical facilities and parks at walking distance from the development. However, it is key to note that the development is not directly connected to the MRT system, and residents may need private vehicles or taxis/buses to access the Sentosa Gateway and other roadways for further connectivity to other parts of Singapore.

Corals at Keppel Bay

Located in Singapore’s Southern Waterfront hub, Corals at Keppel Bay is a 99-year leasehold luxury waterfront condo development with 366 units across 12 blocks and 10 floors. Residents have a choice of 1-bedroom to 4-bedroom units ranging from apartments to luxurious penthouses. Check out this tour of a 3-bedroom premium-facing unit priced at $3.28 million at Corals.

Corals at Keppel Bay has a wide range of facilities including multiple promenades, a reflecting pool, a clubhouse and lounge, water gardens, a tennis court and a children’s play area. The development also has a lounge pool, swimming pool and a forest walk available to residents.
