Hi, Happy Friday Everyone, in this episode of #AskPropertyLimBrothers, We talk about 3 super important things you need to know about ABSD Refund & Sellers Stamp Duty. 

So, ABSD is the short form of Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty. And of course, there have been different rounds of ABSD being introduced. Today, the question is specifically asking, how do I qualify for ABSD refund and can I actually ask for an extension in the event if I cannot sell my current property within six months from the date of purchase of my new one or upon TOP of a new project that had already bought and paid ABSD with. So to answer the context of the question, there’s a bit of background, basically ABSD refund, it has to be carefully planned because this only applies to people that fall under certain criteria, it doesn’t apply to everybody. So it’s not a hard and fast rule that definitely you’ll be able to claim that your ABSD, in the event if you were to pay ABSD first to purchase your second property.
