When sourcing for landed homes in Singapore, it’s normal to be overwhelmed by the influx of options available to you. But a major determinant for landed home prices will undoubtedly be location. And right here, in our third article for our landed series, we’ll explain not only the locations of these renowned enclaves, but dissect the prices and help you understand how where you reside, will ultimately define what you’re looking for in a home.

A disclaimer though, is there are the minority, who rather snag a good deal, regardless of location, and rebuild with either an A&A (additions and alterations), or a full gut renovation to their fancy. Nothing wrong with that. But when location is a strong contributing factor to the prices’s ebb and flow. Let’s dig into the meat.

It’s always great to return home after a business/pleasure trip, drop your stuff, and head out easily to meet up with them. Fathers and mothers settle nothing less but the best for their children, as these locations put them within reach to exclusive schools and international ones. Wide options of housing are available to you, with prices from $3 mil for a 99-year semi-detached, to $33.27 mil for a detached freehold. Some of these locations are considered prime addresses, with popular GCB areas such as Bukit Timah, Nassim Road and Tanglin, which as you probably realised, jacked the price of the freehold significantly.

Every lane is punctuated with abundant history that you own, from plantations to age-old Peranakan forefather ownership. Town is your playground, and conveniences go without saying. As long as personal vehicles are used, accessibility to the rest of Singapore isn’t an issue.

Ultimately, home is how you build it, and whether you live in Serangoon or Cairnhill, as long as it suits the needs of your family, that space will suffice.
