The Development

This freehold mixed development, 1953 pays tribute to the year the shophouses were built – in Art Deco style with 1953 displayed prominently at the top. In fact, 1953 is fronted by a row of seven Art Deco-style conservation shophouses along Balestier Road. Located at the junction of Balestier and Tessensohn Roads, 1953 was highly regarded as an iconic landmark.
